The Town of Penetanguishene approved By-law 2024-29 on July 10, 2024, which granted permission for All-Terrain Vehicles (ATV) /Off-Road Vehicles (ORV) to operate on municipal roads in the Town of Penetanguishene. The By-law is in effect as a Pilot Program until September 30, 2025.

Before the By-law expires, staff will be reporting to Council on the ATV/ORV Pilot Program and make a recommendation on continuing the permission for ATV/ORV beyond 2025. Staff are looking for feedback from residents and the community on the Pilot Program so far to date to help inform Council.

    Penetanguishene ATV/ORV Pilot Program Feedback

    The Town of Penetanguishene requests feedback on the All-Terrain Vehicle/Off-Road Vehicle Pilot Program, which was launched on September 1, 2024. This pilot program will conclude on September 30, 2025. Town staff will present a report to Council on August 13, 2025, regarding the program and will recommend whether it should continue permanently. This survey will help staff and Council decide on the Pilot Program.
