Summer Cultural Event Survey

In 2023, Council directed staff to create a Summer Cultural Festival Ad Hoc Committee to review options for a new signature summer Festival to be hosted in Penetanguishene focusing on local historic cultures.

A cultural event is an organized activity that celebrates and promotes the artistic, historical, and social aspects of a community. Cultural events are important because they provide opportunities for people to experience and engage with different cultures, traditions, and artistic expressions.

The Summer Cultural Festival Ad Hoc Committee is looking to receive community feedback to assist and support the decision making process.

They are often the primary motivator for the trip. Community Event: a smaller scale event which provides entertainment to the residents of the host community.
