Alma Mabout 3 years agoTown dock development
A good examples of waterfront development, Rawley Lodge, Port Severn, hotel, cottages, fine dining, entertainment. Also, be careful not to duplicate features that are already in nearby park. There are already some great meeting places there, water park, cultural features, walking/exercise features ...

Paint fire hydrants to look like fisherman or Dicovery Harbour sailors. Think outside the box.

Have good signage at waterfront that will entice “water visitors” to walk through the park and downtown eg historic trails, dog park, Pub/restaurant, Gift shops, water park 1 km

We need to impress upon the Federal Government the importance of no wake signs. The safety of boaters and erosion of the shoreline are at risk. Redevelopment of this land will be wasted if people do not feel safe visiting.

Brian Scottabout 3 years agoPlan all buildings to be set back from the water. Waterfront & water Access is for people, not structure.
Keep waterfront unobstructed.

Need to consider boaters that haul groceries/ luggage/ building materials.... Ideally have a pass system, or keyed entry to allow entry to dock area with vehicle for this purpose.

Need for boat ramp / parking
