Welcome to the 74th Annual Winterama! Last year staff pivoted from the usual Winterama outdoor fun to virtual COVID-19 safe activities. Unfortunately this year, staff have had to pivot to make similar changes to keep our community safe.

We are excited to announce that by working with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, staff have planned a Winterama weekend full of outdoor and virtual activities!

The schedule will be updated periodically with more activities, times, locations and online details once confirmed - stay tuned!

    Join volunteers and staff at the Penetanguishene Town Dock, next to Dock Lunch for an afternoon of family-friendly fishing!

    Learning poles will be provided if needed. Have your own, that's great!

    Date: Saturday, February 19
    Time: 11:30 am -3:30pm


  • Penetanguishene Lions Club Skating Rink

    Each year the Penetanguishene Lions Club puts hours of hard work into making our community an outdoor skating rink. The rink is located next to Knights Haven Bowling Alley. Join the Lions Club on Sunday, from 12 pm - 4 pm for hot beverages and treats while you skate!

    Do you have your cardboard boxes and tape ready?? North Simcoe Rotaract is back this #Winterama with the Cardboard Toboggan Contest!
    Categories are:
    • Fastest Box Car
    • Most Creative Box Car
    • Most Uniquely Sized Box Car
    • Best wipeout for the under 18 categories
    • Most Innovative Box Car for over 18 entries.
    Prizes will be officially announced later this week! Submissions are to be sent to the email northsimcoerotaract@gmail.com anytime from now until the closing of the contest on Sunday, February 20th at 11:59. Winners will be posted on Friday, February 25th.

    Rotary Snow Sculpture Contest

    Let’s see your best ‘Canada’s Winter Sports’ snow sculpture, for your chance to win cash prizes!


    Step 1: Build your sculpture at home, in Rotary Park, or on the lawn at Bayfield House (5 Beck Blvd) in Penetanguishene

    Step 2: Take photos/video of the finished sculpture and send to rotary.penetang@gmail.com

    Step 3: Winners will be announced on Tuesday following Winterama weekend (February 19).


    Prize Categories: Overall Favourite, Best Use of Theme, Best Use of Colour, Most FUN, Best Use of Props & Accessories

    Prizes: Each category winner will receive a $100 cash prize.


    Photos must be submitted by midnight on Monday, February 18, 2022

    Attendees are asked to prepare a deck of cards, some rubber bands, and a pen or pencil (any kind) for the interactive magic portion of the event.


    It’s a magic show that takes place over the internet, from the comfort of your own home!

    Just like us, they’re stuck at home instead of on big stages across Toronto. So they’ve designed a magic show that is virtually impossible!

    TMC has created an experience that utilizes the online virtual nature as a strength instead of a weakness.
