I perfect think since we already lost our high school in Penetanguishene, maybe we should actually listen to kids and families of our community and let Burkevale School become a better bigger school that this town needs In every attempt they have been denied this town needs to start listen to their community! Over he past year the sport of Pickleball has become an outstanding Penetanguishene success story with the addition of the new dedicated courts at McGuire Park, attracting groups of over 25 players most mornings. The courts are especially appreciated by our seniors, as the vast majority of players are retirees from our community. The pickleball courts, together with the new tennis court and new children's playground are making McGuire Park a great recreational asset for our residents. There are two shortfalls with the pickleball courts that, if corrected, would improve player safety and enhance play. The first is to add additional gates that would provide players the ability to access the courts without the current need to interrupt play. The second improvement is to add a windscreen to the outside perimeter fence to mitigate the oftentimes nasty wind coming in off the bay that interferes with play.

I was wondering if there was something that could be done about big garbage bins being along the Main Street on the weekends. Since garbage day was changed to Monday, the businesses that are not open on the weekend, put their bins out Friday. If we want to attract tourists to spend time on the Main Street, it would be nice if they didn’t drive by or walk by garbage bins all weekend. Perhaps these businesses could put them in an alternate location or have a neighbouring business put them out Sunday night or one person go late Sunday or early Monday morning to get them out. One other possibility would be to change the route so the garbage for Main Street businesses is picked up after opening on Monday.

Clean it up keep current parking levels for tourist and boaters.
