Peel Street (from Robert Street East to Brock Street) is being reconstructed in 2026/2027. As part of the reconstruction, the Town is creating a new streetscape design for the section of Peel Street spanning from Robert Street East to Simcoe Street.

Streetscape design is the design of a roadway formed by the placement of physical features such as buildings, sidewalks, parking and loading areas, lighting, street furniture, and landscaping. The purpose of the new streetscape design is to create an improved road design to address the needs of surrounding residents and businesses.
